The ZOO in Ústí was found in 1908 by Heinrich Lumpe, a businessman and dealer in metal goods. He was also a respected ornithologist and loved nature. During the years he enriched the garden with Little Dwarf castle, lake boasting with fountain etc.
The ZOO is situated on the edge of Krásné Březno. There are two ticket offices–upper (Dobetice) and lower (Main Gate in Krásné Březno). But during the winter season the upper ticket office is closed.
