Tropenmuseum

The Tropenmuseum (Tropical Museum) is an anthropological museum located in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The Tropenmuseum, one of the largest museums in Amsterdam, accommodates eight permanent exhibitions and an ongoing series of temporary exhibitions, including both modern and traditional visual arts and photographic works.

The Tropenmuseum is owned and operated by the Royal Tropical Institute, a foundation that sponsors the study of tropical cultures throughout the world.

Honestly, the museum that I liked the most in Amsterdam. One of the best in the world in terms of atmosphere and historical curiosities. Thoroughly recommended.

Huge collection of cultural artifacts from all over the world, but I was missing a common thread. Kicked from one area about religion in the caribean to housing in the middle east without any comment.

Loved it! Went to the Rijks, Van Gogh, but this one is definitely worth your time in Amsterdam as well. Enjoy!
