Legoland Japan

Legoland Japan is a theme park in Nagoya, Japan. It opened on April 1, 2017. It is the first Legoland theme park in Japan, the second in Asia after Legoland Malaysia Resort, and the eighth worldwide. The park is projected to attract over two million visitors annually.

History

On June 30, 2014, Merlin Entertainments announced plans to open a Legoland Resort in Nagoya. Construction officially began on April 15, 2015. On March 27, 2017, a commemorative Legoland-themed train started running on the Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit Aonami Line to celebrate the opening of the park. Legoland Japan officially opened on April 1, 2017. The entrance admission is ¥6,900 for adults and ¥5,300 for kids aged 3-12. Many news sources commented on the ticket prices, which are comparable to Tokyo Disneyland's ticket prices despite the Legoland park being considerably smaller. Merlin Entertainments plans to build a Legoland Hotel and a Sea Life aquarium next to the park in 2018 to help turn the area into a resort, which is expected to cost 10 billion yen.

The theme park includes several rides as well as a miniature town that includes landmarks such as Tokyo Station, Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto and Nagoya Castle.

Access

The park is close to Kinjō-futō Station on the Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit Aonami Line.

The outdoor amusement park has many attractions for children and some attractions of interest to accompanying adults. Visitors can expect large Lego models, rides, building stations and dining areas.

Big fun place, but don't eat inside the park, because food is not so good and prices is high. Best options to eat is outside the park in Makers Pier.

Try to go off-season if possible (week day, outside vacation time, etc). Most rides are quite short, so you don't want to wait in line during 30 minutes for a ride that will only last 2.

Such a fun place and I'm not just saying this because I'm a Lego fan. However, you need to go there with kids. Not really a place for teenagers or adults with no kids.

もうすぐ水族館 SEALIFEとオフィシャルホテル開業!並ばなくて良い遊具もたくさんあるので、年パス買って、公園感覚でのんびり楽しむのがおすすめかと。
