Hermesvilla is an imperial villa in the Lainzer Tiergarten (between Auhof and Laab im Walde), Vienna that was a present from emperor Franz Joseph I to his wife empress Elisabeth. The villa was built in 1886 under the architect Karl von Hasenauer in the style of a historic country manor house. The interior decoration and paintings were arranged and executed by Hans Makart. Today it is a museum housing memorabilia of the empress.

The Hermesvilla gained importance after Walt Disney did his film "Miracle of the White Stallions" there.

Stables

From the 1950s till 2005 the stallions of the Spanish Riding School spent their summer holidays in the former stables of Empress Elisabeth.
