It started as a mere fruit stand back in 1950, and now Oahu's enormous Dole Plantation is open to the public. Take a tour, try to find your way through the giant pineapple maze (the world's largest).
See how they grow the world-famous pineapples and marvel at the amazing and varied colors of their Koi fish. These fish are symbols of love and friendship in their native Japan.
If you really love pineapple, this place is your Mecca, Jerusalem, and Vatican all rolled in to one. Otherwise, the maze and train are still a decently fun way to spend an afternoon.
The Dole maze is a fun attraction for all ages. Don't cheat as it makes it not so fun. Don't forget to order a nice ice cold pineapple ice-cream #BestofHawaiibyKalani
While you can’t make a day of it, it’s fun nonetheless. The maze was really fun and I actually learned a lot (pineapples grow through the crown!). Not a must see but a nice place to stop by.
It’s honestly rly fun! The maze is large enough that it’ll actually take some time to solve, and definitely stay for some dole whip and the train tour.
