The largest grotto of Hellbrunn Palace is dedicated to Neptune and seahorses guard the entrance. At the foot of the trident is the water-spitting Germaul, Hellbrunn´s secret emblem. Visitors to the fountains of the Neptune Grotto are shocked by the Germaul, a tin, water-driven grimacing face, which rolls its eyes and pokes its tongue in disrespect at the observer. A fi rst sample of the countless hidden jets and pipes is given in this grotto: a downpour with a rainbow! Грот Нептуна. Выглядит довольно зловеще, а все движения, что предсказуемо, выполняются при помощи все той же воды из горных источников. Кстати, именно у этого грота расположен знаменитый фонтан с 1000 струй — видимо, размещенный здесь в честь морского повелителя.
