Palais construit au début du XVIIIe siècle par Philippe V, le premier Bourbon roi d'Espagne, qui souhaitait un château lui rappelant le Versailles de son enfance. Il brûla malheureusement en 1918 et ses intérieurs furent entièrement détruits.
