After a morning shower passed out to sea, the higher cirrus clouds made this morning shot a picture perfect day. The Sun filtered through the offshore clouds and gently warmed the lighthouse, but the cooler sky beyond balanced the shot. Despite looking like a uncrowded spot, the parking lot was abuzz with excitement as hundreds of bicylcists continued their Mountains to Coast ride which originated in Sparta, NC and ended in Hatteras vilage this day.
