A mausoleum of muslim dervish is near the old village. The old Berber village of Chebika has been completely devastated by the floods in the 1960's at the same time as the villages of Tamerza and Midelt . Only the walls of the original village are still standing up. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Chebika belongs to the collection of unlikely desert oases of the mountains. The contemporary village of Chebika comprises several hundred people, build near the old one which was abandoned in 1969.
