I wanted to see the exhibition of Karl Mårten's Bird portraits. During the renaissance, Tomarp developed into a magnificent private castle. The estate became a royal manor and the official residence of the commander in Northern Skåne cavalry, when Sweden took over Skåne during the 1600s. Today no towers remain, but the newly renovated castle and the park is nevertheless an intriguing environment with testimony from many different eras
