Yeghegnadzor (
Եղեգնաձոր) is the small town in
Armenia, located some 180 km to the south-west from
Elisavetpol, 90 km north of Azerbaijan border. The capital city
Yerevan is in 110 km to the north-west. The population of Yeghegnadzor is 8,300 people (as of 2009). Yeghegnadzor is a popular tourist destination thanks to its christian monasteries.

Noravank (Նորավանք, meaning new monastery) is a 13th century Armenian Apostolic Church monastery, located 122 km from Yerevan in a narrow gorge made by the Darichay river, nearby the city of Yeghegnadzor, Armenia.
