Velha Goa is one of villages in
India situated some 20 km south-west of
Navelim and 1,950 km from
New Delhi. The population is about 150 people in accordance with the 2011 census. Many people visit Velha Goa each year to take a look at its famous world heritage sites and churches.

The Basilica of Bom Jesus or Basilica of Good Jesus (Portuguese: Basílica do Bom Jesus) is located in Goa, India is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The basilica holds the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier. The church is located in Old Goa, which was the capital of Goa in the early days of Portuguese rule, about 10 km from the new city of Panjim.
Se Cathedral (Sé Cathedral of Santa Catarina) is a cathedral dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria, located in Old Goa, India. It is the cathedral of the Latin Rite Catholic Archdiocese of Goa and Daman, and the seat of the Patriarch of the East Indies. It is one of the oldest and most celebrated religious buildings in Goa and is one of the largest churches in Asia.
