Interesting places in it
1. Theresienstadt concentration camp
Theresienstadt concentration camp (often referred to as Terezín) was a Nazi German ghetto during World War II. It was established by the Gestapo in the fortress and garrison city of Terezín (German name Theresienstadt), located in what is now the Czech Republic.
2. Ghetto Museum
First museum to the Jewish Ghetto, privately established in 1991 in the former Theresienstadt School. Before this time the only museum was that created by the Communist government in the Little Fortress. It focused only on the political prisoners held there and avoided mention of the hundreds of thousands of Jews who passed through the adjacent ghetto on the way to their deaths.
