Sokolnik is the small settlement in Poland, located some 50 km to the south-west from Wroclaw, 130 km north-east of Czech Republic border. The capital city Warsaw is in 430 km to the north-east. It has a population of 150 people. People mostly visit Sokolnik to see its monuments and memorials.

1. Bismarck Tower, Janówek
The world's first Bismarck tower was erected by private initiative in 1869 in the village of Ober-Johnsdorf, Silesia, then part of Prussia (today Janówek, Wrocław County, Poland). It stands on top of the hill now called Jańska Góra (Deutsch. Johnsberg), 253 m above sea level. The tower itself is 23 m in height.
