Rostov-on-Don (
Ростов-на-Дону) is the ninth largest city in
Russia, located some 20 km to the north-west from
Bataysk, 130 km south of Ukraine border. The capital city
Moscow is in 1,250 km to the north-west. The population of Rostov-on-Don is 1,074,500 people (as of 2011). Many people visit Rostov-on-Don each year to take a look at its famous zoos and armenian churches.
