Qaraqoush is one of villages in Jordan situated some 20 km north-west of Esh Shajara and 110 km from the capital, 130 km south-west of Jordan - Syria border. The population of Qaraqoush is 160 people (as of 2011). People mostly visit it to see its archaeological sites.

It is served by Mahanaim I Ben Yaakov (IATA: RPN) airport, which is 60 km away.

Abila Dekapoleos – Abila in the Decapolis or Abila (Greek: Ἄβιλα; and for a time, Seleucia; Greek: Σελεύχεια, also transliterated as Seleuceia, Seleukeia, and Seleukheia) was an ancient city, near the Hieromax river in the Decapolis; the site is occupied by two tells and the village of Hartha, circa 13 km (8 mi) north-northeast of Irbid, Jordan.
