Port-au-Prince is the capital and the largest city in Haiti, located some 10 km to the west from Delmas 73, 130 km south-west of Dominican Republic border. This the megapolis has a population of 1,234,800 people. Thousands of tourists visit Port-au-Prince every year to see its palaces and cathedrals.

1. National Palace (Haiti)

The National Palace (Palais National) was located in Port-au-Prince—facing Place L'Ouverture near the Champs de Mars—and is the official residence of the Haitian president. It was almost completely destroyed in the 2010 Haiti earthquake. The ruins of the building are currently being demolished.

2. Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption, Port-au-Prince

The Cathedral of Our Lady of the Assumption (français. Cathédrale Notre-Dame de L'Assomption), often called Port-au-Prince Cathedral (français. Cathédrale de Port-au-Prince), was a cathedral in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Built between 1884 and 1914, it was dedicated on Шаблон: Start date, and became the cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Port-au-Prince. The cathedral was destroyed in the 12 January 2010 earthquake.
