Romania, located some 10 km to the south-west from
Tomeşti, 130 km west of Moldova border. The capital city
Bucharest is in 420 km to the south-west. The population of Pietrăria is 500 people (as of 2013). People mostly visit Pietrăria to see its towers.
Iasi (IATA: IAS) is the nearest airport to it, situated just 20 km to the north-west.

Pietrăria transmitter (Romanian: Releul Pietrărie) is a 180 metres tall guyed mast for FM-/TV-broadcasting at Pietrăria, a village near Iaşi, Romania. Pietrăria transmitter has a square cross section and is much thicker than most other guyed masts of similar height.
