New York is the largest city in United States, located some 10 km to the east from Jersey City. The capital city Washington is in 430 km to the south-west. The population is about 8,175,200 people in accordance with the 2014 census. Thousands of tourists visit New York every year to see its monuments and memorials and theatres.

2. Gershwin Theatre
The Gershwin Theatre is a Broadway theatre located at 222 West 51st Street in Midtown Manhattan in the Paramount Plaza building. The theatre is named after brothers George Gershwin, a composer, and Ira Gershwin, a lyricist. It has the largest seating capacity of any Broadway theatre with 1, 933 seats, host to large musical productions. The Gershwin has been home to the Tony Award-winning blockbuster musical Wicked since October 30, 2003.

3. Top of The Rock Observation Deck
The observation deck atop the skyscraper, dubbed " Top of the Rock" reopened to the public on November 1, 2005, after undergoing a $75 million renovation. It had been closed since 1986 to accommodate the renovation of the Rainbow Room (although this has also recently closed due to economic difficulties). 4. The Cloisters
The Cloisters is the branch of the Metropolitan Museum of Art dedicated to the art and architecture of the European Middle Ages. The Cloisters is located in New York City, USA, specifically Fort Tryon Park near the northern tip of Manhattan island on a hill overlooking the Hudson River. The Cloisters include the museum building and the adjacent four acres (16, 000 m²).

5. Space Shuttle Enterprise
The Space Shuttle Enterprise (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-101) was the first orbiter of the Space Shuttle system. Rolled out on September 17, 1976, it was built for NASA as part of the Space Shuttle program to perform atmospheric test flights after being launched from a modified Boeing 747. It was constructed without engines or a functional heat shield, and was therefore not capable of spaceflight.

6. Museum of the Moving Image (New York City)
The Museum of the Moving Image is a media museum located in Astoria, Queens in a former building of what is now the Kaufman Astoria Studios. The museum originally opened in 1988 as the American Museum of the Moving Image. The museum began a $67 million expansion in March 2008 and reopened in January 2011. The expansion was designed by architect Thomas Leeser.

7. 9/11 Tribute Center
The 9/11 Tribute Center shares personal stories of family members who lost loved ones, survivors, rescue and recovery workers, volunteers, and Lower Manhattan residents with those who want to learn about the September 11 attacks. It is located in the World Trade Center section of Manhattan, New York City and provides walking tours and galleries with 9/11 artifacts and history.

8. Metropolitan Museum of Art
The Metropolitan Museum of Art is an art museum located on the eastern edge of Central Park, along what is known as Museum Mile in New York City, USA. It has a permanent collection containing more than two million works of art, divided into nineteen curatorial departments. The main building, often referred to simply as " the Met, " is one of the world's largest art galleries, and has a much smaller second location in Upper Manhattan, at " The Cloisters, " which features medieval art.
