Munich (München) is the third largest city in Germany situated some 20 km south-west of Unterföhring and 660 km from the capital, 130 km north-east of Germany - Austria border. The population of Munich is about 1,260,400 people (census of 2009). Munich is a popular tourist destination thanks to its royal residences and towers.

Munich is served by Franz Josef Strauss (IATA: MUC) airport, which is 40 km away.

1. Nymphenburg Palace
The Nymphenburg Palace (German: Schloss Nymphenburg), i. E. " Nymph's Castle" is a Baroque palace in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. The palace was the main summer residence of the rulers of Bavaria.

2. Olympiaturm
The Olympiaturm in Olympiapark, Munich has an overall height of 291 m and a weight of 52, 500 tons. At a height of 190 m there is an observation platform as well as a small rock and roll museum housing various memorabilia. Since its opening in 1968 the tower has registered over 35 million visitors (as of 2004). At a height of 182 m there is a revolving restaurant that seats 230 people. Oktoberfest is a sixteen-day festival held each year in Munich, Germany during late September (and running to early October). It is one of the most famous events in Germany and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year, and is an enjoyable event with an important part of Bavarian culture. Other cities across the world also hold Oktoberfest celebrations, modeled after the Munich event.

5. Botanical Garden Munich-Nymphenburg
The Botanischer Garten München-Nymphenburg (21. 20 hectares) is a botanical garden and arboretum located at Menzinger Str. 65, Munich, Bavaria, Germany. It is open daily, except on 24 and 31 December; an admission fee is charged.

6. Blutenburg Castle
Blutenburg Castle is an old ducal country seat in the west of Munich, Germany on the banks of river Würm.

7. BMW Museum
The BMW museum in Munich is a museum for the history of BMW cars and bikes, which is located next to BMW Headquarters main building. The BMW Welt is not in fact the same building as the BMW Museum. The BMW Welt, showcases a diverse range of modern BMW products, and additionally, comes into use as a distribution center for a large array of BMW products.

8. St. Peter's Church, Munich
St. Peter's Church is a Roman Catholic church, and also the oldest church, in the inner city of Munich.
