Miletus is one of villages in Turkey situated some 20 km north of Didim and 720 km from Ankara, 90 km north of Turkey - Greece border. The population of Miletus is about 140 people (census of 2009). People mostly visit Miletus to see its archaeological sites and ruins.

It is served by Samos (IATA: SMI) airport, which is 50 km away.

Miletus (; Ancient Greek: Μίλητος, romanized:   Milētos; Hittite transcription Millawanda or Milawata (exonyms); Latin: Miletus; Turkish: Milet) was an ancient Greek city on the western coast of Anatolia, near the mouth of the Maeander River in ancient Caria. Its ruins are located near the modern village of Balat in Aydın Province, Turkey. Before the Persian invasion in the middle of the 6th century BC, Miletus was considered the greatest and wealthiest of Greek cities.

2. Delphinion
A Delphinion (ancient Greek: Δελφίνιον) found in ancient Greece, was a temple of Apollo Delphinios (" Apollo of the womb" ) also known as " Delphic Apollo" or " Pythian Apollo" the principal god of Delphi, who was regarded as the protector of ports and ships.
