Lamadeleine is the town in
Luxembourg, located some 10 km to the south-east from
Aubange, 10 km south-east of Belgium border. The capital city
Luxemburg City is in 30 km to the north-east. The population of Lamadeleine is 2,500 people (as of 2015). People mostly visit it to see its archaeological sites.
It is served by Luxembourg (IATA: LUX) airport, which is 40 km away.
Things to do in it
Titelberg (Luxembourgish: Tëtelbierg) is the site of a large Celtic settlement or oppidum in the extreme south west of Luxembourg. In the 1st century BC, this thriving community was probably the capital of the Treveri people. The site thus provides telling evidence of urban civilization in what is now Luxembourg long before the Roman conquest.
