Kabul (کابل) is the capital and the largest city in Afghanistan, located some 140 km to the north from Gardez. According to the latest census, the population of Kabul is about 3,043,600 people, making it the largest city in Afghanistan. Thousands of tourists visit Kabul every year to see its palaces and zoos.

It is served by Bagram AFB (IATA: BPM) airport, which is 10 km away.

1. Darul Aman Palace
Darul Aman Palace (" abode of peace" or, in a double meaning " abode of Aman[ullah]" ) is a European-style palace, now ruined, located about sixteen kilometers (ten miles) outside of the center of Kabul, Afghanistan.

3. Gardens of Babur
Babur Gardens, locally called Bagh-e Babur (Persian: باغ بابر), is a historic park in Kabul, Afghanistan, and also the last resting-place of the first Mughal emperor Babur. The gardens are thought to have been developed around 1528 AD (935 AH) when Babur gave orders for the construction of an ‘avenue garden’ in Kabul, described in some detail in his memoirs, the Baburnama.

4. Abdul Rahman Mosque
The Abdul Rahman Mosque (Dari: مسجد عبدالرحمان; Pashto: د عبدالرحمان جومات‎), also known as the Grand Mosque of Kabul, is one of the largest mosques in Afghanistan. It is located in one of Kabul's commercial areas called Deh Afghanan, near the Pashtunistan Square and across from the once popular Plaza Hotel. The building is three stories high, built on 3. 5 acres of land. One floor of the building is dedicated to women only.

5. Id Gah Mosque
Id Gah Mosque or Eid Gah Mosque is the second largest mosque in Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. It is considered the cardinal religious mosque in the country, where a million people offer Eid prayers twice a year. Bala Hissar is an ancient fortress located in the city of Kabul, Afghanistan. The estimated date of construction is around the 5th century AD. Bala Hissar sits to the south of the modern city centre at the tail end of the Kuh-e-Sherdarwaza Mountain. 7. Pul-e Khishti Mosque
Pul-e Khishti Mosque is the largest mosque in Kabul, Afghanistan. Located in the center of old Kabul, the Pul-e Khishti Mosque can be identified by its large blue dome. The mosque originally was erected in the late 18th Century, but largely rebuilt under Zahir Shah in the late 1960s. It was damaged during recent fighting in the area, but is one of the few buildings in the area which has had restoration work done on it.

8. Kabul Museum
Kabul Museum is the national museum of Afghanistan. It is a two-story building located slightly southwest of the center of the historic city of Kabul and was built in 1922.
