Iwanowo (
Иваново) is the community in
Bulgaria, located some 30 km to the south from
Rousse, 110 km south-west of Romania border. The capital city
Sofia is in 320 km to the south-west. The population is about 1,100 people in accordance with the 2011 census. People mostly visit Iwanowo to see its world heritage sites.
Airport Gorna Oryahovitsa (IATA: GOZ) is 90 km away from Iwanowo and is the closest airport to it.

The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo (български. Ивановски скални църкви, Ivanovski skalni tsarkvi) are a group of monolithic churches, chapels and monasteries hewn out of solid rock and completely different from other monastery complexes in Bulgaria, located near the village of Ivanovo, 20 km south of Rousse, on the high rocky banks of the Rusenski Lom, 32 m above the river. The complex is noted for its beautiful and well-preserved medieval frescoes.
