İriva is one of villages in
Turkey situated some 40 km north-east of
Umraniye and 450 km from
Ankara. According to the latest census, the population of İriva is about 120 people. People mostly visit İriva to see its castles.

Riva Castle (Turkish: Riva Kalesi), is a Byzantine coastal fortification situated on a hill where Riva Creek meets the Black Sea in Riva, Beykoz, Greater Istanbul. In Greek mythology, the leader of the Argo sailors, Iason, searching for the Golden Fleece received the iron anchor, hence the village was referred to as Ancyranum during the reign of the Byzantine Empire.
