Gombasek is the village in
Slovakia, located some 20 km to the south-west from
Rožňava, 80 km north-west of Hungary border. The capital city
Bratislava is in 330 km to the west. The population of Gombasek is about 90 people (census of 2014). People mostly visit it to see its world heritage sites.

Gombasek Cave or Gombasecká jaskyňa (in Slovak) and Gombaszögi-barlang (in Hungarian) is a stalactite and stalagmite cave in the Slovak Karst, Slovakia. It is named after the settlement of Gombasek, which belongs to the village of Slavec. It is located in the Slovak Karst National Park, in the Slaná river valley, approximately 15 km south of Rožňava.
