Gabrovica is one of villages in
Slovenia situated some 20 km south-east of
Muggia and 100 km from
the capital, 20 km south-east of Slovenia -
Italy border. The population of the the community was estimated at 160 people according to the 2013 census People mostly visit Gabrovica to see its bridges.
It is served by Portoroz (IATA: POW) airport, which is 30 km away.

The Črni Kal Viaduct is the longest and highest viaduct in Slovenia. It is located on the A1 motorway above the Osp Valley near the village of Gabrovica, about 20 km east of Koper.
