Qobustan is the settlement in Azerbaijan, located some 80 km to the south-west from Sumqayyt. The capital city Baku is in 70 km to the north-east. The population is about 13,400 people in accordance with the 2015 census. People mostly visit Qobustan to see its archaeological sites.

Heydar Aliyev (IATA: GYD) is the nearest airport to Qobustan, situated just 90 km to the north-east.

Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape or simply Gobustan (Azerbaijani: Gobustan) is a hill and mountain site occupying the southeast ending of the Big Caucasian Ridge, mainly in the basin of Jeyrankechmaz River, between the rivers Pirsagat and Sumgait. It is located west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 mi (64 km) southwest of the centre of Baku.
