Chamonix (
Chamonix Mont-Blanc) is the settlement in
France, located some 20 km to the east from
Passy, 90 km south-east of Switzerland border. The capital city
Paris is in 620 km to the north-west. The population of Chamonix is 10,700 people (as of 2012). Many people visit Chamonix to experience its ski areas and resorts and chair- and aerial lifts.
