Oranienburg is the town in Germany, located some 20 km to the north-east from Velten, 130 km west of Poland border. The capital city Berlin is in 40 km to the south-east. The population of Oranienburg is about 40,800 people (census of 2011). Thousands of tourists visit Oranienburg every year to see its concentration camps.

It is served by Tegel (IATA: TXL) airport, which is 30 km away.

1. Sachsenhausen concentration camp
Sachsenhausen (" Saxon's Houses" German pronunciation: ]) or Sachsenhausen-Oranienburg was a Nazi concentration camp in Oranienburg, Germany, used primarily for political prisoners from 1936 to the end of the Third Reich in May 1945. After World War II, when Oranienburg was in the Soviet Occupation Zone, the structure was used as an NKVD special camp until 1950 (See NKVD special camp Nr. 7). The remaining buildings and grounds are now open to the public as a museum.
