Accra is the capital and the largest city in Ghana situated some 20 km south-west of Teshie. According to the latest census, the population of Accra is about 1,963,300 people, making it the largest city in Ghana. Accra is a popular tourist destination thanks to its triumphal arches and castles.

1. Independence Arch (Accra)
The Independence Square of Accra, Ghana, inscribed with the words " Freedom and Justice, AD 1957" commemorates the independence of Ghana, a first for Sub Saharan Africa. It contains monuments to Ghana's independence struggle, including the Independence Arch, Black Star Square, and the Liberation Day Monument.

2. Osu Castle
Osu Castle, also known as Fort Christiansborg or simply the Castle, was the former seat of government in Ghana until the end of John Kufuor's presidency. As of 7 January 2009, the new seat of Government is located at the Golden Jubilee House.
