Apollonia is one of villages in Libya situated some 40 km north-east of Al-Baida and 1,070 km from Tripolis. The population of Apollonia is about 100 people (census of 2014). People mostly visit it to see its archaeological sites.

Apollonia (Greek: Απολλωνία) in Cyrenaica (modern Libya) was founded by Greek colonists and became a significant commercial centre in the southern Mediterranean. It served as the harbour of Cyrene, Шаблон: Convert to the southwest. The city is the birthplace of the Greek geographer and mathematician Eratosthenes.
