Ōno is one of villages in Japan situated some 90 km south-east of Nagoya and 270 km from Tokyo. According to the latest census, the population of Ōno is about 100 people. People mostly visit Ōno to see its castles.

Nagashino Castle (長篠城, Nagashino-jō) was a castle in Mikawa Province, Japan. Originally the home of the Suganuma family, Tokugawa Ieyasu took the castle in 1573. Tokugawa's and Oda Nobunaga's forces combined to defeat Takeda Katsuyori in 1575 when Nagashino Castle was besieged during the Battle of Nagashino.
